provides CAHIIM accredited Associates, Baccalaureate, or Master HIM programs with a School Summary, Roster and Enhanced report on a quarterly basis. The reports will be available in two formats:
RHIT Summary or RHIA Summary
reports are the traditional layout of the reports that is mainly used for APAR reporting
RHIT Summary and RHIA Summary Enhanced
reports will show summary data by exam content outline domains and tasks. The report will assist in determining where exam candidates as a group from your program need improvement at the task levels.
RHIT Roster or RHIA Roster
reports show the names and individual results of the summary reports
RHIT Roster and RHIA Roster Enhanced
reports show detailed level results for individual exam candidates by exam content domains and tasks.
The data for each quarter will be available in the school report portal by the following dates:
Quarter 1 (January 1st - March 31st data): June 10th
Quarter 2 (April 1st - June 30th data): September 9th
Quarter 3 (July 1st - September 30th data): December 9th
Quarter 4 (October 1st - December 31st data): March 11th
Previously enhanced reports were used to link between the exam results and curriculum competencies. The enhanced report has now been modified to link to the details of the exams results instead of curriculum competencies. A new report linking between the exam report curriculum competencies is in development.
The exam content outline changed for individuals taking the RHIT exam in January of 2018. Please note that the number of domains and names of some of the domains changed from the previous content outline. The list of domain titles for the RHIT exams prior to January of 2018 and those now in use that became effective on January 1, 2018 (first testing date 1/2/18 are shown below for ease of reference;

School Score Reports
Summary Report Score
The School Summary Reports present data on the performance of graduates from your program on the RHIT or RHIA examination.
The data included in the School Score Report is as follows:
These serve as the blueprint for the RHIA and RHIT exam categorized into domains.
This number is the maximum possible score (Max Score) that may be obtained for each domain.
This section reports statistics on the total number of candidates who have taken the examination nationally. It reports the total number of candidates tested as well as the number of those who have passed or failed. The average score (Avg. Score) and the percentage of questions answered correctly (% of Total) are listed according to the domain.
All Attempts Candidate Summary
This section represents data from your program's graduates. It reports the total number of candidates tested as well as the number of those who have passed or failed. The average score (Avg. Score) and the percentage of questions answered correctly (% of Total) are listed according to the domain. The % of National represents the average score of your graduates divided by the national average score.
First Time Candidates Summary
This section reports the same information as the All Candidates Summary with the exception that it reflects only data from your graduates who have taken the examination for the first time.
Repeat Candidates Summary
This section reports the same information as the All Candidates Summary with the exception that it reflects only data from your graduates who have retaken the examination due to an unsuccessful first attempt.
Standard Deviation Score (SD)
This data represents the standard deviation for the percent score by sub-domain.
Max raw score has been removed from the reports
Candidate Roster Reports
The data included in the roster reports is as follows:
Individual data on the performance of graduates from your program.
Standard deviation for the scale score.
To report a possible discrepancy, please
send an email
along with your program EPC code within 30 days once the reports become available. Discrepanices not sent within that time frame could cause a possible delay with the reviewing process.
